There’s no denying that the item on the top of everyone’s wishlist this year is the Apple iPad 2!

For those who aren’t too sure what all the fuss is about – what is so good about the iPad 2?

Well where do we begin? First up the iPad 2 has forward facing and rear cameras (perfect for facetime); it also has a better process than the original iPad and it’s smaller now too. It also has a groovy new magnetic cover.

Sure there are other computer tablets that can do all the stuff that an iPad 2 can do, but let’s face it, none of them are quite as cool or as smooth and easy to use.

So if you are looking for a gift idea for a brother, sister, heck even your grandparents, then the Apple iPad 2 would have to be at the top of the wishlist.

Now don’t be fooled by the size of these because they can still pack a punch. While these might not be quite as cool as the iPod Touch they are much easier to carry around. If you’re after an mp3 player without the hefty price tag than go for the Coby. While it may not look as funky or be as fancy as some of the other mp3s it still does the job. 5. Archos Internet Media Tablet

Now this isn’t just any old mp3 player, this is more like a media centre at your fingertips. Take it wherever you go and you can watch movies on its wide screen, get WiFi access and a whole heap of other cool things you didn’t even know you needed. I may have said the iPod was the best for mp3s but this is a whole lot more.

6. Zune Video MP3 Player

Apple’s biggest competitor is Microsoft’s Zune. This has all the cool features you want in an mp3 player plus it has exclusive Zune radio channels, wireless sharing, access to videos, movies and is compatible with the Xbox 360. It also has a heap of other features that you’ll need to check out too. This is no doubt a wishlist item.

7. Sony Walkman Video MP3 Player

If you’re giving your mp3 player to someone who’s after something a little easier to use then go for the Sony Walkman. It has great sound quality, is slim and holds a long battery life, it just doesn’t have some of the bonus features that comes with your fancier mp3 players. A great gift though none the less.

8. Creative Labs Zen MX MP3 Player

This mp3 player comes with all the features you’ll need: sounds quality, battery life and a range of formats. It also comes with an SD card that makes it easy to transfer your music around. A great mp3 player with all the features and not as pricey as some of the other models.

9. Apple iPod Shuffle

Sometimes all you need is some music. The iPod Shuffle might not have any other features but it has all you need and that is some pumping beats. This is great if you just want to carry something light (this is super tiny) but beware it can get a little annoying if you can’t find the song you want to hear.

10. Mozaic LX

This mp3 player makes the list because it is so cheap and it looks quite pretty too. This would make a great gift for a little girl or for when you just want a little stocking filler but it is not as good as some of the other mp3s around.

So what is the best gift to get for a sister? Whether you are after a Christmas gift for your sister or a birthday gift for your sister there are plenty of gift ideas out there. My sister is pretty easy to buy for, she tends to just like everything I do, but some sisters are very different from each other. But hopefully being your sister you know a little bit about her, is she a girly girl or more of a tomboy? Also how old is she and what is she into?

If your sister is a girly girl (like my own sister), then she will no doubt love getting jewelry (check out etsy.com for some great stuff). If you’ve already gotten her jewelry numerous times then maybe she would like a nice perfume and/or some new makeup (note: girls will never have enough eyeshadow or lipstick colors but girls are pretty loyal to the brand they use so try and check this out first if you can). Clothes and sleepwear also make beautiful gifts for sisters, I personally love getting gifts from Peter Alexander. If she is a bit older and has her own place she might like something pretty for the home such as a cute teapot or a coffee set or some kind of ornament that will match her home.

For a tomboy or a sister not so into jewelry or home goods, some gift ideas for your sister would be a new pair of sunnies or maybe some groovy sneakers. If she is into adventure she might also like some camping equipment or maybe some fitness equipment such as an exercise ball or some dumbells. Think about what your sister enjoys doing and this will help you think of something perfect to get her.

If you’re feeling particularly generous why don’t you get her something that you can share together such as a nice dinner out or maybe a pampering package for two. Or maybe if you haven’t been spending enough time together you could get your sister a weekend away together doing something that you both enjoy.
