Pagan Gifts

So I’ve already written a post on Pagan Wedding Gifts but have had many questions sent in asking about Pagan gifts for other occasions. Being a Pagan like with any other religion there will be plenty of things that can be given as gifts. There are some gift ideas you may want to avoid however such as items that may not be seen as being made or produced ethically. Also gadget gifts may not be as popular as gifts that are more natural or earthy.  But to help you make up your mind here are the best and most popular gift ideas that a Pagan (or just about anybody) would love to receive.

25th Wedding Anniversary Gifts

The 25th wedding anniversary or also called the silver wedding anniversary is an important anniversary milestone. I think anyone would agree that spending 25 years together is something that deserves a big celebration. And as we know a celebration normally involves gifts, so here are some 25th wedding anniversary gifts that you can give to help the lucky couple celebrate this special event.

1. Silver Gifts

As we know the 25th wedding is represented by silver, so this customarily means giving a gift in silver. You can get just about anything inn silver, some options are jewelry, home decor or our top picks right here.

Grandparents Gifts

Even though you may be generations apart, buying gifts for grandparents is not hard to do.  All that grandparents want is a little gesture to show them that you love and care for them.

My first bit of advice when considering a gift for your grandparents is to have a think about their interests. Does your grandma enjoy sewing? If so she might enjoy a new sewing box or maybe some new materials and threads to whip up a brand new creation. Is your grandpa into gardening? Then what about getting him some new gardening gear?. In fact your grandparents like everyone else are probably avid movie watchers. So what about getting them one of their old favorite movies to watch or a classic TV show. Remember though just because your grandparents are older that doesn’t necessarily mean they are into older things. They might be into the latest DVDs out or even latest gadgets, just like everybody else.

Cheap Wedding Gift

Weddings can be expensive events for everybody involved, including the guests. So while you may want to show the newlyweds how happy you are for them, you want to do so without going bankrupt in the process. Luckily many couples these days register for gifts. Have a look at what has been registered and hopefully they have listed some inexpensive items that you can afford. If on the other hand there is no register there is still some wonderful wedding gifts that you can get for the bride and groom that can be cheap.

Pagan Wedding Gifts

With many people these days shunning the norm and opting for less traditional ceremonies, many people are having what is called a “pagan ceremony”. Traditionally in the old Pagan times in Britain, a pagan ceremony involved a hand-fasting which committed the couple together for a year and a day, after which time they were free to separate if they wished (which considering 1 in 2 marriages end in divorce probably wasn’t such a bad idea). Now however a pagan ceremony covers all types of rituals and it really depends on the individual couple as to what it will be like. It could be a hand-fasting to last a year and a day or a different kind of civil union that will last for a lifetime or an eternity, and the ceremony is likely to be as unique as the couple. So what on earth do you get for a pagan wedding gift when you’re not familiar with the traditions??

How much to spend on wedding gift?

Weddings can be expensive and not just for the bride and groom, people often have a hard time deciding how much to spend on a wedding gift. The amount you should be expected to spend on a wedding gift depends on a lot of factors. First thing to ask yourself when getting a wedding gift is  “what is the relationship I have with the couple getting married?“. Do you know them well, are they your best friend? I think the better you know the couple and the closer relationship you have with them the more you should be reasonably expected to spend. For instance if you are going to a coworkers wedding $50-$100 is an appropriate amount whereas for a relative or close friend you may want to spend more in the $100-$150 range.

What to get the person who has everything?

Don’t you hate that person who has everything they could ever ask for, and no matter what you could give them it wouldn’t be worthy. Well the present for this type of person is actually easy. Don’t get them anything material, because chances are they already have it and probably the best version of it too. Instead get this person what nobody can have enough of… experiences. Buying people adventure, romance or weekends away is a great experience gift idea for any person and for all occasions. There are a number of sites where you can get these type of gifts, if you live in Australia check out www.redballoondays.com.au or www.freemanx.com.au or for anybody else simply type “adventure gifts” into Google and your bound to find all sorts of experiences you can buy for the one you love. With a range of experiences available you’re bound to find something in your budget and suitable for the type of person your getting it for. For an adrenalin junkie you can get them a skydive; for many men, they might appreciate a day trip in their dream car or maybe for the girls a day spa indulgence. The possibilities are endless so you need never be stuck for a gift again.
