I think that when it comes to gift ideas for 5 year olds there is one thing that they will always want  – toys. No matter how many toys they have they will want more and this goes for boys and girls. So what toy do you get them? Check out the top toys on amazon.com or ask a sales assistant at your local toy store and if the 5 year old in question does not have one of these top toys I have no doubt that they will want them. Also amazon.com allows you to specifically select age ranges, gender and price ranges to make your gift searching even easier.

Another option is buying new clothes. Kids always need more of these as they are constantly growing anyway and they will no doubt be particularly loved if they are for a little girl and they are pretty and pink. If you’re having trouble picking these then again ask the sales assistant or check out the top sellers on clothing sites. Oh and little girls especially also love to play dress ups so they would love costumes as well.

If your child already has everything they could ever want then how about taking them out for a special day trip. I have yet to meet a child that doesn’t want to visit a theme park every other weekend, and if you take them to one of these you can let them pick out a souvenir on the day too. If  a you haven’t got a theme park near you, take them out to the movies to see the latest Pixar animation or any other popular children’s movie.

Overall remember they are 5 years old so you don’t need to go overboard with their present (unless you want to of course), they’ll be happy as long as they’re loved and having fun on their special day.
